You don't need an HDFC Infinia Credit Card. You don't need an Axis Magnus Burgundy Credit Card. You don't need any premium credit card at all.

Air India's brand new A350 business class flies Delhi to New York (JFK). Collins Aerospace Horizon seats, 1-2-1 layout, flat bed, privacy doors. This is not the old 777 — this is Air India's new flagship cabin.

Cash ticket? ₹3,00,000 to JFK.

Here's how you fly this exact cabin for about ₹1,20,000.

Air India and Air Canada are both part of Star Alliance — same airline alliance. That means Air Canada's loyalty program, Aeroplan, lets you book Air India flights using their miles. A one-way business class from Delhi to JFK or Newark costs 90,000 Aeroplan miles. No fuel surcharges.

Why not use Air India's own Maharaja Club? Because they charge approximately 2X miles for the same seat on the same plane. Aeroplan at 90,000 miles is the clearly smarter path.

Right now (until March 19, 2026), Aeroplan is running a 90% bonus on buying miles:
- Buy 70,000+ base points → get 90% bonus → 133,000 total miles
- Effective cost: ~1.44 cents USD per mile (~₹1.22 per mile)

- Award availability varies by date. Check aeroplan.com before buying miles.
- We found 29 dates with direct Air India A350 availability: 19 on DEL→JFK and 10 on DEL→EWR, Aug through Oct 2026. One seat per date on the direct AI flight.
- This works for one-way bookings. Round trip = 180,000 miles total (~₹2,20,000 vs ₹6-7 lakh cash).
